Pop queen Madonna has announced that she will be designing a line of clothes for younger people, using her daughter Lourdes as inspiration.
The 51-year-old's initial set - called Material Girl and created in collaboration with the Iconix Brand Group - will be available both online and in Macy's outlets.
It will comprise of handbags, shoes, back-to-school wear and jewellery, ranging in price from $12 (£7.93) to $40.
"Joining forces with Iconix to bring my fashion ideas to consumers is very exciting for me," Madonna said.
And chief executive and chairman of Iconix Neil Cole remarked: "We believe that Material Girl will be a dynamic exclusive brand for Macy's", while the latter company's Jeff Gennette noted that the star "is a fashion icon".
The songstress isn't the only troubadour to make waves in the clothing industry of late. Bang recently reported that Pixie Lott is teaming up with Lipsy to bring out the Pixie Collection.
