Lily Allen sports neon leopard-print leggings

Since she ditched her flouncy prom dresses, ghetto jewellery and oversized Nikes, Lily Allen appeared to be moving in the right direction in terms of fashion - so much so that Karl Lagerfeld has been quoted as describing her as his muse.

But if the bigwigs at Chanel were to have spotted Allen in the ensemble she wore at a meeting with The Spectator magazine this week, those claims would be immediately denied.

The 24-year-old was pictured emerging from the publication's Westminster office wearing a pair of multicoloured neon leopard-print leggings and clashing purple slingback platforms.

As if that was not enough of a mismatch, the Fear singer donned what appeared to be a heavy black thigh length jacket with a fringed back - the only thing toned-down was her stylish blued quilted Chanel handbag with gold chains.

When she appeared at Glastonbury over the weekend, the singer donned a number of different wigs, including a purple one to perform and a peroxide blonde bob for fun.
