Katherine Jenkins goes peroxide blonde

Katherine Jenkins has proved that blondes really do have more fun.

The Welsh mezzo-soprano was pictured this week at Wimbledon with a platinum blonde do looking more relaxed and confident than ever.

Her peroxide colour was quite a few shades lighter than the usual looks she has sported for the duration of her career since she found fame in 2004.

In fact, it would seem that she has been gradually lightening her hair with every year that passes and now that she is trying to crack America, perhaps she feels that white blonde is the way forward.

Other celebrities to have sported such platinum blonde locks - besides the ultimate bombshell Marilyn Monroe - include Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Scarlett Johansson and Kylie Minogue.

Then there is Gwen Stefani, whose peroxide do, which she often styles in a 1950s pin-up girl kind of way, has become her very own trademark.
