Fake Bake mistakes 'are the norm'
Ladies planning to make their first purchase of Fake Bake who are concerned that they may do it wrong and come out streaky or bright orange may like to know that such mistakes are something of an initiation into the world of self-tanning.
According to beauty editor with the Daily Mail Alice Hart-Davis, there are lots of errors that can be made, ranging from blotchy arms, orange hands, white faces on dark bodies and wrinkly ankles and knees.
However, she also stated that she's suffered practically all of the above and more, saying that throughout her tanning career, she's treated one leg twice and not done the other at all, neglected the underside of her chin and self-tanned in hot weather, without realising that sweat would wash areas away.
"It is really important to exfoliate and moisturise extremely thoroughly," Ms Hart-Davis said.
Fake Bake itself was recently announced as a sponsor of the Sun's campaign to ban underage use of tanning salons, prohibiting all those aged below 18 years from utilising the service.
