Cheryl Cole sports elegant ponytail at birthday bash

Cheryl Cole may have turned one year older yesterday but she looked as young and radiant as ever.

The Girls Aloud singer and X Factor judge was stunning when she was pictured entering her birthday bash at Vanilla in London.

She wore a £4,000 sheer minidress by Alexander McQueen and a pair of must-have nude peep-toe Louboutin heels.

While her dress revealed slightly too much skin and some of the tassels had come undone, it was her elegant hairstyle that really set the star apart from the crowd.

She wore her long brown locks tied up in a very sleek ponytail that was tied in a knot at the top of her head.

Cole was also pictured yesterday afternoon in a fabulous Louis Vuitton outfit - a purple shirt and coral mini-skirt.

Husband Ashley had surprised her during X Factor auditions when he showed up with a bunch of flowers and a balloon for her birthday.
